As one who loves science, mathematics, and the arts, it is only assumed that I also love kaleidoscopes. Their ability to convert the ordinary into a bewitching dance of triangles morphing into unpredictable shapes is fascinating! While all kaleidoscopes have the power to amuse, the spectrum of their quality and price is as infinite as their imagery.

I was lucky to find a very worthy kaleidoscope at Hollin Hall Variety Store (support small business!) on the clearance shelf with its Christmas brethren.

Being the resourceful crafter that I am, I saw opportunity in an undervalued object of magic.

Using some tools…

…and scrap paper…

A polished kaleidoscope!
